BOX MATERIAL FREE OF UREA-FORMALDEHYDE
The most basic step in reducing your carbon foot print is choosing the right box material. In conventional plywood and particle board adhesives use urea-formaldehyde resin, which can off-gas formaldehyde gas (a carcinogen) in to your home. Instead manufacturers offer such substrates with a binding agent made of soy protein. A common misconception is that this might affect the longevity of the product, but this is not the case.
